Veal Cheeseburger Macaroni

The flavors in this homemade veal cheeseburger macaroni recipe are very similar to cheeseburger macaroni boxed meals. But you can control what goes into the recipe! There aren’t any preservatives or unnecessary ingredients resulting in a highly satisfying dish full of flavor. As a bonus this dish uses only one pan; great for an easy clean up.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground veal
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon House Seasoning Blend
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic – minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cups no sodium beef broth
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz. dried cavatappi pasta – or your favorite shape
  • 1 cup Colby-Jack cheese – shredded

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil over medium high heat in a large skillet with high sides.
  2. Add veal, House Seasoning Blend and minced onion; brown veal and crumble.
  3. Once veal is browned, add cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and sugar; stir to combine.
  4. Add beef broth, milk, cream and pasta; stir to combine.
  5. Brink to a simmer and place lid on pan.
  6. Simmer covered for 9 minutes or until pasta is cooked through.
  7. Remove from heat, add cheese and stir to combine.
  8. Serve immediately.
