Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground veal
  • 1 c. seasoned breadcrumbs, divided
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg
  • Fresh Mozzarella Balls
  • 2 tbsp. Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 lb. ground veal with 1/2 c. seasoned breadcrumbs and 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese. Season with 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. black pepper, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder and 1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning. Add 1 egg and mix everything together until combined.
  2. Cut a ball of fresh mozzarella into tiny cubes.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix together 1/2 c. seasoned breadcrumbs with 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese. Drizzle in about 2 Tbsp. of olive oil and stir together until the breadcrumbs are moistened.
  4. Use a medium scoop to form the meatballs. Stuff one cube of mozzarella into the meat mixture and seal it as completely as possible.
  5. Roll the meatballs in the breadcrumbs then place onto a foil lined, greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 350* for about 16 minutes or until cooked through which would be 160*F.
  7. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
